Getting Started with Slimefun

Upon opening your guide, you may feel overwhelmed by the vast number of new items to research and create. Don't be, Slimefun is something which takes time to learn, unlock, and make. Give yourself all the time you need to unlock and make the items. There is no rush, everyone makes things at their own pace.

Here are some hints, however:

First off

Make a base. Get shelter from the nightly mobs that will try to attack you. Something with four walls, a roof and a door are usually a good starting point.

When you are ready to start

The first thing you have to do is to "unlock" the items in the book. You will use the XP you have collected to do this. When you have enough levels, just click on the item you want to unlock.

Start with the Basic Machines. I know Nuclear Reactors and Wonder Machines sound like so much more fun but the Enhanced_Crafting_Table will be your most used machine and its the first you should make.

I need some power

Once you have unlocked and made the Basic Machines then you can unlock the Energy and Electricity section of the guide. This will let you begin automating the production of items.

Now what

You can create production lines to create the overpowered always in demand items that Slimefun has to offer.

I need more

If you feel you have mastered the basics then try the Exports section of the guide. These are special items that can be sold to the export shop in spawn. These are a way to make money from your Slimefun efforts. However they are challenging to make but very rewarding.
