Claiming Land

On WonderCraft we use the Plugin Grief Prevention for land claiming, this is sometimes referred to as Golden Shovel claiming.

To claim your land do /kit claim and you will be given a Golden Shovel and an instruction book.

You must have enough claim blocks to claim your area, all new players start with 100 claim blocks.

Your First Claim The first time you put down a chest, it will claim a small area for you. This will keep the things in that chest and surrounding area safe. After you put down your first chest, take a stick and hit the ground. It will show you the boarders of your claim.

To claim an area

Click with your gold shovel at one corner of your land, and then in the opposite corner where you want the claim to be. This will make a rectangle/square of Gold Blocks and Glowstone blocks.

Anything within this area is now protected. You can let other players access your area with /Trust <playername>

Obtaining claim blocks

You accumulate 2000 claim blocks over time while you play, but you can win more from voting for the server. This is the fastest way to increase your claim blocks. If you need a large amount quickly you can buy some at http://store.wondercraft.org

Expired Claims

When a claim expires it will reset to WILD and all items/blocks will be destroyed in the area.

Claims will be deemed expired and abandoned if the owner has not been on the server for 90 days. There are exceptions to this.

• If the owner has over 10000 total claimed blocks
• If the owner has accumulated over 5000 bonus claim blocks but not used them

I don't meet these requirements but I will be away from the server for more than 90 days?

Make a member of staff aware of your situation and they will convert your claim into an Admin Claim and return it to you on your return.

My claim was taken away from me by an Admin

Admins may sometimes convert interesting or impressive builds to Admin Claims if they can see the owner has not been on for nearly 90 days and it may be deleted. So to protect these builds they will be Admin Claims and will be returned to the player on return. This is no guarantee and you should not rely on this as a way to protect your builds you have to spend days/weeks/months on.

A claim is blocking me from expanding

If a claim is blocking you from expanding and the owner of the claim is active then please come to an arrangement with the owner of the claim. If the claim appears to be a full base then you will need to wait the 90 days for it to reset to wild. If the claim looks to be a starter unfinished base and the user has not been on for 30 days then the claim may be deleted. This is at staff discretion, what you may think of as an unfinished base may not be what a staff member believes to be so. It is at their discretion as if that player comes back and is upset their base has gone then that staff member has to rectify the situation.

Transferring Claims If you are Emerald Rank or above you have the ability to transfer claims. Stand in the claim you wish to transfer and do /transferclaim <playername you are transferring to> This can be used to transfer claim blocks to other players. Claim a random area of land, stand in it with the other person, transfer it, and they can abandon the claim to have the blocks spare.
