Smeltery
The Smeltery is a machine that is often used in Slimefun. It is one of the most important machines that you will encounter a lot when delving into the complex parts of slimefun. It can be used for many different purposes, such as turning dusts into ingots, creating alloys. It is similar to the best kitchen utensil/machine, a toaster.
Creating a Smeltery
The Smeltery is a Multiblock Structure which means that you need to build the structure as it shows in the Slimefun Guide, It is not crafted. To make a smeltery, you need a dispenser facing any direction, two nether bricks on opposite sides adjacent to the dispenser. Then, place a nether brick fence on top of the dispenser to finish it. To activate the smeltery you need fire underneath the dispenser. Fire on netherrack will stay on however the smelter will consume the fire. An Automatic Ignition Chamber that is placed adjacent to the dispenser will make sure that the fire never goes out, provided that there is flint and steel in it. There is also a Makeshift Smeltery, in case you have not advanced to the nether yet and need a smeltery. However, the makeshift smeltery can only smelt dusts to ingots.
Using the Smeltery
To use the Smeltery, you need to put the item that you want to smelt in the dispenser then right-click (or whatever you changed your 'use' key to) on the fence. The item will not be smelted if there is either no space for the smelted product, or if there is no space in the output chest for the smelted product to go to.
